About Dr Rebecca Cleary
Dr Rebecca Cleary is a Brisbane based Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist who has recently commenced Private Practice with Haematology Queensland (HQ). HQ is a new independently owned group of 3 Brisbane Haematologists who have the ambition of offering a unique personalised approach to Haematology.
Rebecca chose to specialise in haematology due to the wide diversity of both acute and chronic presentations, allowing the opportunity to focus on establishing excellent rapport with her patients and their families through the course of their investigation and subsequent treatment. Ensuring that all patients have a thorough understanding of their diagnosis and of treatment plans is a priority in Rebecca’s practice.
Rebecca is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and The Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia (RCPA). After completing her medical training at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in 2006, Rebecca undertook her first 2 years of clinical practice in the UK before immigrating to Brisbane in 2008. She has subsequently completed her physician and specialist advanced training in clinical and laboratory haematology at a number of Brisbane hospitals including the Princess Alexandra hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital as well as the Royal Women’s and Brisbane Hospital. Rebecca has a strong focus on current best practice by keeping up to date with developments in the field of Haematology and participating in professional development and teaching.
